DAY 1

Depart on Narlijia Experiences Broome Mangrove Discovery Tour. Explore Broome/Rubibi's natural beauty with local Aboriginal guides on a 2.8km walk through Roebuck Bay's mangrove ecosystem. Gain insights into Broome/Rubibi's history, culture, and marine life for a complete understanding of this coastal town.

This afternoon, join a Mabu Buru Tours Cable Beach Muwarrt* or Wakaj Experience*.

On a Cable Beach Muwarrt, you’ll discover Aboriginal culture at a traditional gathering on Cable Beach. Engage in a relaxing conversation, known as "Muwarrt," amidst the natural beauty.

Alternatively, experience Wakaj, an Aboriginal gathering with cooking demos, dance, and Dreamtime storytelling. Learn about traditional lifestyle, savour freshly cooked damper with local bush honey.

This evening, dine at one of Broome/Rubibi's fabulous restaurants such as Zensai, Little Indian, La Perle or Johnny Sausage.

DAY 2

Make your way to Broome Airport for your Kingfisher Tours Broome to Bungles tour.

Embark on a scenic return flight from Broome/Rubibi's and join a small group guided by an Aboriginal Custodian to explore Bungles Southern Gorges, including Cathedral Gorge and the Beehive Dome Botanicals walk. Enjoy a delicious lunch and afternoon tea with a selection of beverages.

Return to your hotel and pull up a seat at the Cable Beach Club Sunset Bar, the perfect spot to unwind with a beverage whilst viewing Broome/Rubibi's famous sunset, before dinner at one of the hotel’s restaurants.

DAY 3

Join a Kimberley Cultural Immersion Rubibi (Broome) Cultural Tour.

Embark on a journey delving into Broome/Rubibi's rich cultural past, discovering bush foods and medicinal plants. Experience a private didgeridoo performance, handle traditional Nyul Nyul artifacts, and savour refreshing Boab Ginger Beer or Iced Tea while exploring the stories of Broome/Rubibi's pearling history.

This afternoon, collect your 4WD hire vehicle and make your way north to Cygnet Bay on the Dampier Peninsula.

Check in to your accommodation at the Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm.

Don’t miss a visit to the Cygnet Bay Shellar Door to purchase pearls and other jewellery, located on the historic homestead in the pearler’s village.

Enjoy dinner at the Cygnet Bay Homestead Restaurant.

Day 4

Join a Borgorron Coast to Creek Tour. Learn about the culture and connection to Country as you forage for fresh oysters and learn about the seasonality of living off the land on this walking tour through the tidal flats of Cygnet Bay. Hear about the teachings of Aboriginal cultures and bush knowledge and discover how Terry Hunter’s family history is tied to the pioneering beginnings of the region’s pearl trade.

Enjoy the afternoon at leisure before joining a Secret Beach Sunset Trip. You’ll be dropped off for a couple of hours of relaxation, swimming, or fishing at a secret beach at sunset, where you’ll soak up the last rays of sun in a uniquely Kimberley way.

  • Watch oysters cooked whilst still on the rocks.

  • Experience your castaway dreams on a secret beach at sunset.

Day 5

Start the day with a thrill on a Giant Tides Sea Safari.

Experience the might of the world's largest tropical tides, cruising amid giant whirlpools and standing tidal waves. Explore Escape Passage, hailed as the fastest ocean current globally, and feel the exhilaration of this natural phenomenon.

Depart Cygnet Bay and return to Broome/Rubibi via the Aboriginal community of Beagle Bay. Explore the heritage-listed Sacred Heart Church, built in 1917 by local Aboriginal peoples and Pallotine Monks, adorned with local pearl shell on walls, floor, and an incredible altar.

Highlights:

  • Experience the might of the ocean among giant whirlpools and standing tidal waves.

  • Visit one of the most beautiful churches in Australia built entirely by hand by local Aboriginal people and the Pallottine monks.
